The Los Angeles Kings defeated the Ottawa Senators 6-5 in overtime on Thursday night after surrendering a four-goal advantage in the third period. The game at Crypto.com Arena saw the Kings build a commanding lead before the Senators stormed back to force the extra session.
Los Angeles received goals from Erik Haula, Trevor Moore, and Joel Armia among others. Haula scored in the first period with Corey Perry providing a screen in front of Senators goaltender Jonas Johansson. Moore added a second-period tally, while Armia also found the net in the middle frame.
Johansson faced heavy traffic throughout the evening, unable to reach Armia's shot on one notable chance. The Senators' comeback in the final regulation period erased the Kings' cushion, but Los Angeles ultimately secured the victory in overtime.
The Associated Press reported the result on Friday, October 30, 2026.
