Weekend Football Showcase: Derby della Madonnina Highlights Packed Schedule as Milan Clubs Unveil New Stadium Plans
Today's Matches · 17:22:52 - Saturday, 31 October 2026

This weekend features a packed schedule across Europe's top leagues, highlighted by the first Derby della Madonnina of the season between AC Milan and Inter at San Siro on Saturday, alongside Udinese vs. AS Roma and Juventus vs. Napoli in Serie A, plus Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga and Liverpool vs. Arsenal in the Premier League.

New San Siro to be named Generali Stadium

Ahead of the derby, both clubs unveiled plans for a new 71,500-seat stadium to replace San Siro. The venue will be named Generali Stadium after Italian insurer Generali secured naming rights in a deal worth €650 million ($725 million) over 20 years. Designed by Foster + Partners and MANICA, the stadium features an X-frame structure and a sweeping double-curved roof, with two seating tiers forming a continuous 360-degree bowl and Curvas with seating inclinations up to 37 degrees. The project is described as a defining investment by owners RedBird (AC Milan) and Oaktree (Inter) to strengthen competitiveness and shape the next era of Italian football. The derby will also be the first for Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim, who joined AC Milan in the summer after leaving Manchester United in January.

Other key fixtures include Chelsea vs. Manchester United, Barcelona vs. Alaves, and Real Madrid vs. Racing Santander on Saturday, while Sunday sees Lazio vs. Cagliari and the Premier League clash between Liverpool and Arsenal. All Serie A matches are broadcast on CBS and Paramount+ in the U.S.
