The Carolina Panthers have dismissed defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, a move that has sharply divided the team's fan base. The decision, reported on October 30, 2026, comes after Evero served in the role since 2023.
Social media reaction highlighted the split sentiment. Some supporters argued the change was overdue, with comments suggesting it "should have happened 2–3 years ago." Others defended Evero, contending that the defense "wasn't the problem last night" and pointing to other areas of the roster as the primary concern.
Evero was photographed working with cornerback Mike Jackson during the first day of mandatory mini‑camp at the Bank of America Stadium practice facility on June 9, 2026. The Panthers have not yet announced a replacement for the defensive coordinator position.
