New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn faced significant backlash from NFL fans following his explanation for star wide receiver Garrett Wilson's limited involvement in the team's offense. Social media reactions included calls to "Get Rid of Him" and demands to "Stop Making Excuses" regarding Glenn's rationale for Wilson's reduced role.
The criticism highlights growing frustration among the Jets fanbase regarding offensive production and the utilization of their premier playmaker. Wilson, a former first-round draft pick, has been the team's leading receiver but has seen inconsistent target shares in recent games.
Glenn, in his first season as New York's head coach, has been under increasing scrutiny as the team navigates offensive struggles. The fan reaction underscores the pressure on the coaching staff to maximize the talent on roster, particularly at the skill positions.
