Ford has expressed interest in signing Max Verstappen for its 2027 Le Mans Hypercar program, but the manufacturer's current plans do not include a seat for the reigning Formula 1 world champion.

Verstappen, who drove for Red Bull during practice at the 2025 Italian Grand Prix, remains under contract with the Formula 1 team. Ford's Le Mans entry for 2027 is still in development, and the company has not allocated a driver slot for the Dutch driver.

The report, published on October 29, 2026, highlights Ford's ambition to attract top talent while noting the logistical constraints of its endurance racing program.
