Reports linking Ferrari Academy driver Oliver Bearman with imminent contract negotiations have been strongly denied by sources close to the British teenager. The 19-year-old, who made his Formula 1 debut with Ferrari at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and currently races for Haas, has been the subject of speculation regarding his long-term future.
According to Motorsport.com, the rumors suggesting Bearman is close to signing a new multi-year deal with either Ferrari or Haas have been labeled "absolute nonsense" by those familiar with the situation. Bearman's current contractual status remains unchanged as he continues his rookie season with the American-owned team.
The Essex-born driver impressed on his surprise F1 debut last year, scoring points on debut for Ferrari, and has shown promise in his first full campaign with Haas. However, any discussions about contract extensions are understood to be premature at this stage of the season.
