The Baltimore Orioles declined the 2027 option on right-handed pitcher Zach Eflin on Friday, making him a free agent. The club also announced the signing of outfielder Rece Hinds to a contract that runs through the 2027 season.
The moves were confirmed by the Associated Press on October 30, 2026. Eflin, who joined the Orioles via trade during the 2026 season, posted a 4.12 ERA in 15 starts for Baltimore. Hinds, a former second-round draft pick, has shown power potential in the minor leagues and made his major league debut late in the 2026 campaign.
