Real Madrid's summer acquisition Sergio Martinez is still awaiting his first appearance for the senior squad as of late October 2026. The player joined the club during the summer transfer window but has not yet featured in a competitive match for the first team.
According to reports from Madrid Universal, the 2026 summer signing has been training with the squad but remains unused in official fixtures. The reasons for his absence from matchday squads have not been detailed, though competition for places in Real Madrid's deep roster is intense.
Martinez's situation reflects the challenge many young or new signings face at a club of Real Madrid's stature, where immediate playing time is rarely guaranteed. The club and player will likely assess his progress during upcoming training sessions and potential cup matches.
