Ulster's winless start to the United Rugby Championship continued with a 33-7 loss to the Stormers in Cape Town on 31 October 2026. The defeat leaves Ulster with three losses and two draws from their first five fixtures.
The Stormers scored five tries through JD Schickerling, Paul de Villiers, Evan Roos, Ruhan Nel, and Manie Ahmed, with Ahmed converting four. Ulster's only try came from captain David McCann, converted by Richie Murphy.
Ulster took an early lead when McCann powered over after a Stormers knock-on, but the hosts responded with two quick tries before halftime to lead 12-7. Roos extended the advantage early in the second half with an intercept try, and further scores from Nel and Ahmed sealed a bonus-point win for the Stormers.
The result gives the Stormers their fourth win in five URC matches, while Ulster must wait until their trip to Cardiff on 5 December for their next chance to secure a first league victory.
