A five-star center has committed to LSU basketball and will reclassify to the 2027 recruiting class, according to a report from LSU Wire. The commitment adds a highly touted prospect to the Tigers' future roster.
The news was reported by JD McCarthy on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The player's identity was not disclosed in the initial report. Reclassification allows the prospect to enroll a year earlier than originally planned, accelerating their arrival on campus.
LSU continues to build its recruiting pipeline under head coach Matt McMahon, targeting elite talent to compete in the Southeastern Conference. The addition of a five-star center addresses a key positional need for the program's long-term development.
