Golden State Valkyries supporters gathered at Rikki's Bar in San Francisco on Thursday for a watch party of Game 6 of the WNBA Finals against the Atlanta Dream, despite the unusually early 9:30 a.m. Pacific tip-off.
The Valkyries fell behind early and ultimately lost the game, but fans like Audrey Björklund remained hopeful. "I hope they're really fired up from the first quarter," Björklund said. "I just want our girls to be happy and have their big win."
The watch party featured fried chicken and mimosas, drawing a crowd willing to start their day early to support the team in the championship series.
