LA Galaxy moved to the brink of securing a playoff spot in Major League Soccer after standout performances from veteran signings Marco Reus and Sergi Roberto. The duo combined to drive the team to a crucial victory, putting the Galaxy in a strong position to qualify for the postseason.
Reus, the former Borussia Dortmund captain, and Roberto, a longtime Barcelona stalwart, have brought experience and quality to the Galaxy attack since their summer arrivals. Their influence was evident as Los Angeles clinched three points that brought them to the doorstep of the playoffs.
With the regular season nearing its conclusion, the Galaxy now control their own destiny. A win in their final match would guarantee a playoff berth, capping a remarkable turnaround for a club that missed the postseason last year.
