Oklahoma's defense shared responsibility for the loss to South Carolina, according to a postgame report card by Jenni Carlson of The Oklahoman. The evaluation highlighted missed assignments and lack of pressure on the quarterback as key factors.
The report card graded the defensive unit poorly, noting that the offense also struggled, but the defense could not contain South Carolina's attack.
