Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg briefly delayed a scheduled press conference on Friday before sidestepping what reporters described as a "trap question," according to multiple outlets covering the team.
The incident follows the Mavericks' October 21 game against the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center, where Flagg wore the No. 32 jersey. The 2026 first-overall pick has drawn intense media attention since joining Dallas.
Details of the specific question Flagg declined to answer were not immediately disclosed. The press conference took place on October 30, 2026, nine days after the Rockets game.
