CBS Sports has released its Week 8 fantasy football running back start/sit recommendations, highlighting players with favorable matchups and those to avoid. Cleveland Browns rookie Quinshon Judkins is touted as a No. 2 fantasy running back after his 23.4 PPR-point performance against the Titans in Week 7 and a strong showing against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4.
Top Starts
Rhamondre Stevenson (Patriots) faces a Dolphins defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs, with a running back scoring at least 15.8 PPR points in every game this season. Bhayshul Tuten (Jaguars) benefits from the Colts trading DeForest Buckner and has scored at least 11.1 PPR points in five straight games. Ollie Gordon II (Dolphins) has scored at least 14.5 PPR points in four consecutive games and faces a Patriots defense that has allowed six running backs to score at least 10.7 PPR points in their past five games.
Sleepers
Rachaad White (Commanders) steps into a lead role with Jacory Croskey-Merritt out and faces an Eagles defense that has allowed a running back to score at least 10.8 PPR points in five straight games. Blake Corum (Rams) has scored at least 14 PPR points in three straight games and faces a Chargers defense allowing at least 10.3 PPR points to a running back every game. Jonah Coleman (Broncos) earned praise from coach Sean Payton for more touches after returning from injury and could be a flex option against the Chiefs.
Sits and Bust Alerts
Omarion Hampton (Chargers) has scored 7.9 PPR points or fewer in three of his past four games and shares touches in a winless offense. J.K. Dobbins (Broncos) risks losing playing time to Coleman and faces a Chiefs defense ranking eighth in fewest fantasy points allowed to running backs. Emanuel Wilson (Seahawks) faces uncertainty with Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price potentially returning, plus a tough Bears defense. Jeremiyah Love (Cardinals) returns from an ankle injury but his role is unclear, making him only a flex option despite a favorable matchup against the Cowboys.
