Rampoldi Plan, ridden by jockey Stephen Mulqueen, captured the $50,000 Holiday Cup at the Aiken Fall Steeplechase on October 31 at the Aiken Steeplechase Association's racecourse.
The victory followed a change in the horse's pre-race routine, according to connections.
Photographer Barry Bornstein documented the winning moment as Rampoldi Plan cleared a jump en route to the finish line.
