Manchester United have reportedly been offered the opportunity to sign former Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun during the January transfer window, according to The Peoples Person.
The 23-year-old United States international, who left Arsenal permanently in 2023, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford as the club explores options to strengthen their attacking department.
Balogun, who spent last season on loan at Reims in Ligue 1 before securing a permanent move to Monaco, has established himself as a regular goalscorer in European football. The striker's representatives are said to have approached United with the possibility of a mid-season transfer.
United's interest in additional striking options comes amid ongoing discussions about squad depth in forward positions. The club has previously been linked with several attacking targets as they look to improve their goal-scoring output for the second half of the campaign.
Any potential deal would likely involve negotiations with Balogun's current club Monaco, where he has a contract running until 2028. The French side paid a reported €30 million plus add-ons for his services in the summer of 2023.
