Detroit Lions Announce Wu-Tang Clan as Thanksgiving Halftime Performer vs Bears
World Sports · 10:12:05 - Wednesday, 4 November 2026

The Detroit Lions have announced that legendary hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan will perform at halftime of their Thanksgiving Day game against the Chicago Bears at Ford Field on Thursday, Nov. 26. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET, with the game and halftime show broadcast on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.

"Our Thanksgiving Day Classic is one of the greatest traditions in sports, and Wu-Tang Clan is one of the greatest performers in music," said Rich Haddad, Lions President and CEO. "We are thrilled to have Wu-Tang headlining our Thanksgiving halftime show and grateful to Marshall and Paul for their partnership."

Wu-Tang Clan, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 2026 class, is currently on a farewell tour titled "Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber." The group, founded in Staten Island, New York, consists of RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, U-God, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, Cappadonna, and the late Ol' Dirty Bastard, with eight group albums to their credit.

This marks the second year that rapper Eminem and his longtime manager, Shady Records president Paul Rosenberg, have selected and executive produced the halftime performer. "We often like to do things that are both exciting and unexpected. A Wu-Tang Clan Thanksgiving performance in Detroit certainly fits that description!" Rosenberg said. "Both Eminem and myself have been Wu fans since the early 90's along with a whole generation of Detroit football fans, and we are honored to bring them to this year's stage."

The Lions have hosted a Thanksgiving game since 1934, with the tradition interrupted only from 1939 to 1944. This year's matchup will be the 87th annual Thanksgiving Day Classic.
