The Arizona Cardinals have named Gardner Minshew as their starting quarterback following the team's overtime victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Minshew replaced Jacoby Brissett in the third quarter of the game in Dallas and led the Cardinals to a wild overtime win. Brissett will be moved to the bench as a result of the change.
The decision comes after Minshew's performance in the comeback victory, though specific statistics from the game were not detailed in the initial report. The Cardinals' coaching staff evidently saw enough from Minshew's relief appearance to make him the starter going forward.
