The NBA has suspended Atlanta Hawks rookie Kingston Flemings for intentionally elbowing New Orleans Pelicans guard Bryce McGowens in the head, the league announced Monday.
The incident occurred during a game between the Hawks and Pelicans. Flemings, a first-year player for Atlanta, was disciplined after league review determined the contact was intentional.
No length for the suspension was immediately disclosed. The NBA typically announces suspension durations alongside the initial ruling.
