Former NFL quarterback Jameis Winston provided guidance to the New York Giants' starting quarterback shortly after Winston was benched, according to reports following the Giants' game against the Houston Texans on October 25, 2026.
Winston, who has served as a veteran presence for the Giants, was seen working with starter J.J. McCarthy in the hours after the team's matchup at Reliant Stadium in Houston. The Giants' quarterback smiled after the game, as captured in post-game photos.
The nature of Winston's assistance was not detailed, but his experience as a former No. 1 overall pick and starting quarterback could offer valuable insight to the young signal-caller.
