The NFL has issued a statement regarding the postgame interaction between Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix following Denver's 28-24 victory at Empower Field at Mile High on November 1, 2026.
After the Broncos' upset win, Mahomes and Nix were seen slapping hands on the field in a show of sportsmanship. The league's message, details of which were not immediately disclosed, comes in response to that exchange.
Nix, wearing No. 10 for Denver, and Mahomes, No. 15 for Kansas City, met at midfield moments after the final whistle. The Chiefs fell to 7-2 on the season, while the Broncos improved to 5-4.
