NFL Week 9 Odds and Predictions: Computer Model Simulates 10,000 Games for Betting Picks
Other Sports · 05:28:08 - Thursday, 5 November 2026

The NFL's Week 9 schedule features several cross-conference matchups that could serve as potential Super Bowl previews, including Bills vs. Vikings (+3.5), Patriots vs. Packers (+3), and Broncos vs. Panthers (+2.5). The Bengals face the Falcons in Madrid with Cincinnati favored by 3 points after Atlanta was shut out 16-0 by Tampa Bay. Other notable spreads include Chiefs vs. Jets (+10), 49ers vs. Raiders (+10), and Seahawks vs. Cardinals (+8.5).

SportsLine's advanced computer model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, has generated betting picks for every matchup. The model entered Week 9 of the 2026 season on a 60-51 run on top-rated picks dating back to 2024 and has returned more than $5,000 for $100 players since its inception.

Among the model's strongest Week 9 predictions: the Commanders (+5.5, 47.5) cover at home against the Rams nearly 60% of the time. Washington is 3-1 against the spread in games Jayden Daniels has started and finished, leads the NFL in turnover differential at plus-seven, and averages over 140 rushing yards in Daniels' starts. The Rams allowed 234 rushing yards to Josh Allen and the Bills in Week 5 and are 1-3 against the spread in their last four games in the Eastern Time Zone.

Another key pick: the Chiefs (-10, 47.5) cover versus the Jets. Kansas City has covered both games as a favorite of more than a touchdown this season and is 4-1 ATS in the last five such instances. The Jets are 2-4 ATS over their last six games as double-digit underdogs. Kansas City's No. 5 scoring defense is projected to hold New York's No. 25 offense to 3.8 yards per carry, with Geno Smith failing to reach 200 passing yards. The model forecasts Kansas City to cover in over 50% of simulations, with the Over hitting nearly 60% of the time.

The model has also identified four A-rated spread picks for the full Week 9 slate, which includes games such as Jaguars at Ravens (JAX -10), Browns at Saints (NO -3), Cowboys at Colts (DAL -5.5), Lions at Dolphins (DET -7), Giants at Eagles (NYG -3), Texans at Chargers (HOU -4.5), Cardinals at Seahawks (SEA -8.5), Packers at Patriots (NE -3), Raiders at 49ers (SF -10), Buccaneers at Bears (CHI -6.5), and Bills at Vikings (BUF -3.5) on Monday night.
