Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing to name Christoph Kresse as their new chief scout, with Kresse set to replace Nils Schmadtke in the role. The move signals a significant change in the Bundesliga champions' scouting structure ahead of future transfer windows.
Schmadtke, who currently serves as sporting director at Borussia Mönchengladbach, has been linked with the Bayern position in recent months. However, the latest reports indicate the club has opted for Kresse to lead their scouting operations.
The appointment would bring Kresse to one of Europe's most successful clubs, where he would oversee talent identification and recruitment strategy across domestic and international markets. Bayern's scouting department plays a crucial role in maintaining the squad's competitiveness in the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League.
