Jon Rahm said he is uncertain about his 2027 schedule but is open to returning to the PGA Tour if offered a deal similar to the one Brooks Koepka accepted, which included a $5 million charity donation, no FedEx Cup bonus money, and no access to PGA Tour equity grants for five years.
Rahm, a two-time major champion, recently left LIV Golf after reaching a separation agreement that returned his name, image, and likeness rights. He indicated he would accept the same penalties as Koepka if the PGA Tour extended the offer, though he doubts the window for that deal remains open.
The Spaniard plans to play full-time on the DP World Tour next season while awaiting clarity on a possible PGA Tour return. If he remains on the DP World Tour in 2027, he would serve a one-year suspension and become eligible for the PGA Tour's Championship Series in 2028 thanks to his 2023 Masters victory.
Rahm explained his departure from LIV Golf was due to dissatisfaction with the league's planned changes for its 2.0 version, which he felt moved away from the team format that defined LIV. Several other players, including Tyrrell Hatton, Tom McKibbin, Ian Poulter, Sergio Garcia, Louis Oosthuizen, and Lucas Herbert, have also left the league recently.
