Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey has signed a contract extension with the Premier League club, despite reported interest from Bayern Munich. The Dutch forward, who scored a hat-trick for Sunderland at the Etihad Stadium earlier this season, has committed his future to the club. The extension comes as a boost for Sunderland, who currently sit at the bottom of the table. Bayern Munich had been monitoring Brobbey's progress, but the player has opted to remain in England.
