Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko has indicated the program will not make a quarterback change at this time, according to reports from Gridiron Heroics. The decision comes as the Aggies navigate their 2026 season under Elko's first year at the helm.
Elko, who took over the program prior to the 2026 campaign, addressed the quarterback situation following recent games, signaling confidence in the current starter despite any struggles or calls for a change from the fanbase. The coach's stance suggests stability at the position as Texas A&M continues its SEC schedule.
The Aggies compete in one of college football's toughest conferences, and quarterback play remains a critical factor in their postseason aspirations. Elko's public backing of his signal-caller aims to provide clarity and focus for the team heading into the latter portion of the season.
