The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Jake Livanavage from their AHL affiliate, according to a report from Pittsburgh Hockey Now on Tuesday. The move comes as the team prepares for upcoming games, with forward Korczak deemed ready to play while star center Evgeni Malkin remains sidelined.
Livanavage, a 2024 draft pick, has been impressive in the minors and could provide depth on the blue line. Korczak, who has been recovering from an injury, is expected to slot into the lineup. Malkin continues his recovery and is not yet cleared for game action.
