The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) will hold its presidential election on December 14, with incumbent Giovanni Malagò facing a challenge from Adriano Galliani, according to Football Italia.
Malagò, who has led the federation since 2013, will seek another term against Galliani, the former AC Milan chief executive and current Monza CEO. The election will determine the leadership of Italian football for the next four-year cycle.
The contest pits two prominent figures in Italian sports administration against each other. Malagò also serves as president of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), while Galliani brings decades of club management experience from his tenure at AC Milan under Silvio Berlusconi.
Voting will take place at the FIGC's federal assembly in Rome. The winner will oversee the federation's operations including the national teams, refereeing, and grassroots development programs.
