Yamaha has announced a boycott of the Qatar Grand Prix as the ongoing war in the Middle East continues to disrupt the international motorsport calendar. The Japanese manufacturer's decision marks a significant withdrawal from the MotoGP event scheduled at the Lusail International Circuit.

The move follows escalating regional tensions that have raised safety and logistical concerns for teams, personnel, and spectators. Yamaha becomes the first major factory team to formally withdraw from a Grand Prix weekend due to the conflict.

Series organizers have not yet issued a formal response regarding the event's status or potential replacement entries. The Qatar round has been a fixture on the MotoGP calendar since 2004, traditionally serving as the season opener in recent years.
