Xavier High School senior Quentin Koch won the Boys Class MM division at the CIAC Boys Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Wickham Park in Manchester. Koch edged out Gabriel White of E.O. Smith to claim the individual title.
Koch, who chose Xavier for its cross country tradition, is now setting his sights on the Open championship where he will face his former team. The victory marks a significant step in his postseason campaign.
The race, covered by CT Insider's Kevin Roberts, showcased Koch's tactical racing as he pulled away in the final stages. The CIAC championships serve as a qualifier for the New England regional meet.
