United States men's national team manager Mauricio Pochettino has named a 25-player roster blending experienced regulars with emerging talent for the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal matches against Haiti on November 14 and 17.
Roster highlights
The squad features returning stars Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, and Folarin Balogun alongside uncapped players such as Reed Baker-Whiting and Santiago Castañeda. Young forwards Julian Hall and Cavan Sullivan, both teenagers, have been recalled after impressive performances in MLS. Goalkeepers Matt Freese, Diego Kochen, and Brian Schwake provide depth, while the defense includes Sergiño Dest, Antonee Robinson, and Chris Richards. Notable absences due to injury include Miles Robinson, Johnny Cardoso, and Ricardo Pepi.
Pochettino's approach
Pochettino emphasized balance and chemistry, stating the roster allows experimentation with different tactical patterns. He highlighted the combination of Pulisic with midfielder Mathis Albert, who earns his first call-up despite limited minutes at Borussia Dortmund. The manager also praised Hall's goal-scoring form, noting the forward has 13 MLS goals this season and three for the national team. Pochettino said the camp will test players' ability to withstand Concacaf competition and help determine who remains with the senior team versus the U-23 setup.
With more than 100 players tracked by the program, Pochettino signaled that competition for places will remain intense as he builds toward the next World Cup cycle.
