NFL Week 9 opens with the Jacksonville Jaguars visiting the Baltimore Ravens for Thursday Night Football at 8:15 p.m. ET. Injuries to quarterbacks Lamar Jackson (thumb) and Tyler Huntley (toe) have thrust third-stringer Joe Fagnano into the starting role, shifting the daily fantasy football focus to Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and Ravens running back Derrick Henry.
With Baltimore's passing game uncertain, fantasy experts are highlighting Henry's historical dominance against Jacksonville. The running back has averaged 129.1 rushing yards and scored 14 total touchdowns in his last 10 games versus the Jaguars. The Ravens are expected to lean heavily on Henry against a Jacksonville defense that has allowed over 100 rushing yards in each of its last two games after permitting just 63.8 per game over the first five weeks.
SportsLine daily fantasy expert Mike McClure, a professional DFS player with more than $2 million in career winnings, has identified Henry as a cornerstone pick. McClure is also building lineups around Jaguars running back Bhayshul Tuten, who is active despite an ankle/foot injury. Tuten is coming off a career-high 159 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns, and has topped 87 scrimmage yards in all but one game this season. Baltimore has allowed the eighth-most touchdowns to running backs this year.
Other notable fantasy options include Jaguars receivers Jakobi Meyers and Parker Washington, Ravens wideout Zay Flowers, and Jaguars rookie Brian Thomas Jr., who returned to the end zone last week. If the Ravens struggle offensively, kicker Jake Moody — a replacement for the injured Tyler Loop — could provide value. Jacksonville's defense, the league's No. 2 scoring unit, is also a viable fantasy start against a shorthanded Baltimore offense.
McClure's full optimal lineups, including an additional undervalued player he projects for a big game, are available exclusively through SportsLine.
