The annual rivalry game between BYU and Utah at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo on October 18, 2025, is expected to have significant ripple effects beyond the immediate result. Utah quarterback Devon Dampier, wearing number 4, was photographed releasing a pass under pressure from BYU defensive tackle Keanu Tanuvasa, number 57, during the contest.
The matchup, captured by photographer Scott G Winterton for the Deseret News, continues one of college football's most intense in-state rivalries. While the final score and specific game details were not disclosed in the available information, the historical weight of this series suggests consequences for conference standings, bowl positioning, and bragging rights that extend throughout the region.
