Former San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan has spoken publicly for the first time since being waived by the Portland Trail Blazers, confirming his next move to the Texas Legends of the NBA G League.
The 2022 first-round draft pick was released by Portland ahead of the 2026-27 regular season. Sochan, who spent his rookie campaign with the Spurs, now looks to rebuild his professional trajectory with San Antonio's G League affiliate.
Sochan appeared in 56 games for San Antonio during the 2022-23 season, averaging 11.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while earning NBA All-Rookie Second Team honors. His departure from the Spurs organization came via trade before the 2023-24 season.
The Texas Legends begin their G League season in November, giving Sochan an immediate opportunity to showcase his development and pursue an NBA recall.
