Manchester United have made contact with World Cup-winning manager Didier Deschamps regarding the role currently held by Michael Carrick, according to reports.
The French coach, who led France to the 2018 World Cup title, has been approached by the Premier League club as they consider their managerial options.
Carrick, a former United midfielder, has been in charge on an interim basis, but the club is reportedly exploring a more permanent appointment.
Deschamps has managed the French national team since 2012 and also won the 2021 Nations League.
