United States international Folarin Balogun has returned to action for AS Monaco, marking a significant step in his preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The forward, who has been a key figure for the US men's national team, featured in training sessions as Monaco continues its Ligue 1 campaign.
Balogun's return comes after a period on the sidelines and aligns with the USMNT's buildup to the World Cup, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The striker was previously photographed during a national team training session at the University of Washington in Seattle on July 3, 2026, as part of the squad's early preparations.
Monaco's medical and coaching staff will monitor Balogun's workload carefully as he regains full match fitness. His form for the French club will be closely watched by USMNT coaches ahead of the tournament, where the United States aims to make a deep run on home soil.
