The Texas Longhorns have been placed seventh in the inaugural College Football Playoff rankings for the 2026 season, released on November 4.
The ranking comes after Texas defeated Mississippi State on October 31 at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin.
The Longhorns' position in the top 10 sets the stage for their playoff aspirations as the season progresses.
