Central Michigan University has placed men's basketball coach Andy Bronkema on leave, the school announced Thursday, without providing a reason for the decision.
The move was confirmed in a brief statement from the athletic department. No details were given regarding the nature of the leave or whether it is related to performance, conduct, or other matters.
Bronkema, who was hired in 2023, led the Chippewas through two seasons. The program did not immediately name an interim replacement.
The Associated Press reported the development on November 5, 2026.
