The San Antonio Missions, the Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, have revealed a new alternate identity for the 2027 season. The team will take the field as the San Antonio Breakfast Tacos, complete with specialized uniforms and branding that celebrate the city's signature culinary staple.
The announcement follows the franchise's previous alternate identity as the Flying Chanclas, which debuted in 2018 as part of Minor League Baseball's "Copa de la Diversión" initiative. The Breakfast Tacos moniker continues the organization's tradition of embracing local culture through creative alternate branding.
Uniform details released by the club feature breakfast taco imagery incorporated into the design, with the team's traditional color scheme adapted for the new identity. The Missions plan to wear the Breakfast Tacos uniforms for select home games throughout the upcoming season.
