According to a report by NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, a potential trade involving Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin could take a new direction with the Utah Hockey Club emerging as a possible destination. The speculation was highlighted by Richard Knight of Detroit Sports Nation on November 6, 2026.
LeBrun's report suggests that the Utah franchise, set to begin play in the near future, may be exploring options to acquire a veteran centerpiece. Larkin, who has spent his entire career with Detroit, has been the subject of trade rumors in recent months as the Red Wings navigate a rebuilding phase.
No official confirmation has been issued by either organization, and the situation remains fluid as the NHL trade deadline approaches.
