A Pro Football Hall of Famer sharply criticized Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, declaring that Jones "will not hoist that Lombardi Trophy again" and accusing him of lacking a business plan as the team struggles with a 3-5 record. The remarks come as the Cowboys' season falters, intensifying scrutiny of Jones' leadership.
The Hall of Famer's comments were highlighted in a report by Pranay Parab for College Sports Network on November 6, 2026. The criticism follows an August 7, 2026, appearance by Jones at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, where he was photographed alongside Hall of Fame president Jim Porter and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
