Boston Bruins head coach provided an update on forward James Hagens following the team's win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Hagens, who wears number 44, has been sidelined with an injury. The 19-year-old forward appeared in the Bruins' season-opening game against the Ottawa Senators at TD Garden on October 5, 2026, but has missed subsequent action.
The coaching staff did not disclose a specific timeline for Hagens' return. The Bruins selected Hagens with the seventh overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. He recorded one assist in his NHL debut against the Senators before suffering the injury that has kept him out of the lineup.
