The Seattle Seahawks delivered a statement victory on Sunday Night Football, defeating the previously unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs 20-3 at Lumen Field. The loss snapped Kansas City's five-game winning streak to start the season.
Seattle's defense stifled the Chiefs' high-powered offense, holding Patrick Mahomes and company to just a single field goal. The Seahawks' pass rush consistently pressured Mahomes, while the secondary limited big-play opportunities for Kansas City's receivers.
Offensively, Seattle controlled the clock with a balanced attack, converting key third downs and capitalizing on Chiefs' mistakes. The victory improves the Seahawks' record and signals their legitimacy as contenders in the NFC.
The game drew additional attention due to Taylor Swift's presence at the stadium, as the pop superstar has been a regular attendee at Chiefs games this season while supporting tight end Travis Kelce. The Seahawks' mascot, Blitz, playfully referenced Swift on social media following the win.
