England captain Harry Kane has said that receiving a knighthood would feel "weird" after becoming the first English player to win the Ballon d'Or since Michael Owen 25 years ago.
Kane secured the prestigious individual award, recognizing his performances for Bayern Munich and the national team. The striker acknowledged the honor but downplayed the prospect of a formal title.
"It would be a bit weird, wouldn't it? Sir Harry Kane? I don't know about that," Kane told reporters. He emphasized his focus on collective success with club and country.
The 31-year-old's Ballon d'Or victory marks a historic milestone for English football, ending a quarter-century wait since Owen's triumph in 2001.
