NBA DFS Picks for Wednesday: McClure Recommends LaMelo Ball, CJ McCollum

With 12 NBA games scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, daily fantasy basketball players face a larger pool of options compared to Tuesday's four-game slate. All-Stars such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, Victor Wembanyama, Kevin Durant, and Nikola Jokic are expected to play, while Anthony Edwards (knee) and Kawhi Leonard (knee) are sidelined.

DFS professional Mike McClure, who has over $2 million in career winnings and works as a predictive data engineer at SportsLine, has released his top picks for Wednesday. McClure's model simulates every minute of each game 10,000 times, factoring in matchups, statistical trends, and injuries.

One of McClure's top selections is Minnesota Timberwolves point guard LaMelo Ball, priced at $7,700 on DraftKings and $7,900 on FanDuel. Ball has averaged 14.8 points, 6.3 assists, and 2.0 rebounds early in the season. With Edwards out for several months, Ball becomes the primary scorer and distributor for Minnesota. He faces a Golden State Warriors defense that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing point guards on both platforms this season.

McClure is also building lineups around Atlanta Hawks guard CJ McCollum, priced at $5,300 on both sites. McCollum scored 20 points on Monday and is shooting 53% from the field and 44% on three-pointers this season. He has topped 20 points in each of his last four games against the Miami Heat, averaging 3.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists in that span. The Heat are allowing 121.8 points per game this season, the seventh-highest in the NBA.

McClure has identified an additional player with an optimal matchup who could produce massive numbers on Wednesday. His full lineup advice, rankings, and stacks are available through SportsLine.
