The Chicago White Sox have appointed Matt Roffe as their new director of amateur scouting, bringing him over from the Milwaukee organization. The move signals Chicago's hope that some of Milwaukee's successful player development approach will translate to the South Side.
Roffe joins the White Sox front office after spending time with Milwaukee, where he was part of a scouting and development structure that has consistently produced talent. His hiring reflects Chicago's continued investment in rebuilding its amateur scouting infrastructure.
