The Detroit Red Wings have suspended center Dylan Larkin after the team's general manager revealed that Larkin's agent informed the organization he would no longer play for the franchise. The announcement came on Thursday, October 29, 2026.
Larkin, the team's captain, has been a cornerstone of the Red Wings since being drafted in 2014. The suspension follows a series of games in October where Larkin appeared in matches against the Edmonton Oilers, Seattle Kraken, and San Jose Sharks. The move signals a significant rift between the player and the organization.
