Gracie Barra Davenport has become a hub for a diverse group of practitioners, from first-time students to families and a 61-year-old black belt. Owner Fillipe Pascalicchio said the academy launched a women-only class about a month ago to broaden participation.
The academy's inclusive atmosphere was highlighted during a recent technique demonstration, where students of varying ages and experience levels trained together. The program aims to make Brazilian jiu-jitsu accessible to all demographics in the Davenport area.
