Sunderland will aim to translate their recent cup success against Brentford into a positive result when they face Coventry City in their next fixture. The Black Cats secured a notable victory over Premier League side Brentford in the Carabao Cup, boosting confidence ahead of their Championship campaign.
Manager Régis Le Bris will hope the momentum from the cup triumph can inspire his side to climb the Championship table. Coventry City, under Frank Lampard, present a stern test at the CBS Arena as both teams seek consistency in the second tier.
The match represents an opportunity for Sunderland to demonstrate their progress against fellow promotion contenders. With the international break approaching, a win would provide a significant psychological advantage heading into the next phase of the season.
